We came across Gonville as a wedding venue on Instagram and were impressed by the responsiveness and flexibility of the events managers (thank you, Abbie!).
They really catered for all our needs, from wedding packages to menus and room bookings, and gave great advice on how to make the day easy and comfortable. Gonville Kitchen prepared exceptional food for us, from canapes to mains and desserts.
Hotel staff were amazing supporting us on the day, all our guests felt cared for and we didn't stress knowing that the staff would handle it. The venue is beautiful, the hotel room was stylish, comfortable and cosy.
We highly recommend Gonville for any events you may be thinking of, they helped to make ours that extra bit special - thank you, Gonville!

We held our wedding at Gonville in June 2025 and it really didn't disappoint! Early engagement with the events manager Abbie was fantastic as she listened to exactly what our vision was and worked with us throughout to achieve this.
Regularly meeting with us in the build up and consistently being proactive throughout. When the tables were set and we arrived, it really did look stunning. The food was delicious, the wine was lovely and the rooms were fantastic.
All the staff were fantastic at Gonville - bar staff, restaurant staff, reception staff and anyone I left out because we really didn't come across anyone that wasn't helpful and prepared to assist.
I really do want to say a big thank you to all of you for making our day so special. It was a warm, friendly environment throughout the evening and all of our guests fed back very positively. Special thanks again to Abbie who smashed it, delivering our vision to perfection despite us being rather demanding at times :) You were absolutely terrific. I couldn't recommend Gonville highly enough for a wedding venue.

We recently had our wedding at The Gonville Hotel, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. From start to finish, everything was exceptional. A special thank you goes to Abbie, who helped organise and run the day for us – she was truly outstanding. Her calm, professional, and friendly approach made the whole process so smooth and stress-free. Along with the rest of the team, she ensured every detail was taken care of, and we felt completely supported throughout.
The setting was stunning, both inside and out, creating such a beautiful atmosphere for our celebration. The food was exceptional – our guests are still talking about how delicious everything was! We've also had so many compliments about how lovely the venue was and how perfectly suited it is for a wedding.
We genuinely had the best day and feel so grateful to have chosen The Gonville. We would 100% recommend it to anyone looking to host a wedding or any special event – you will be in the very best hands.
